File Manager (easiest)
- In Nexcified Client, open Hosting › Files and select File Manager.
- Your website lives in the
public_htmlfolder. - Drag files in to upload, or select Upload. ZIP files can be extracted on the server.
- Select a file to edit, rename, move, download or change permissions.
FTP (for many files at once)
First create an FTP account in Hosting › Files › FTP accounts. Then use an FTP app such as FileZilla with these settings:
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Host | cloud.nexcified.com |
| Port | 21 |
| Protocol | FTP, with Require explicit FTP over TLS |
| Username | The full FTP username, e.g. upload@yourdomain.com |
| Password | The password you set for that FTP account |
Important: Always use FTP over TLS. It encrypts your password and files. Plain, unencrypted FTP is not secure.
Good habits
- Create a separate FTP account for each person or developer, limited to the folder they need, and delete it when the work is done.
- Take a backup before replacing many files. See Backups and restoring your website.
