You can keep your domain where you bought it and point it to your Nexcified hosting. There are two ways to do it.
Option 1: Change your nameservers (recommended)
This lets Nexcified manage all your DNS records for you, including email.
- Sign in to the company where you registered your domain (your registrar).
- Find Nameservers or DNS settings for the domain.
- Choose custom nameservers and enter:
| Nameserver | Value |
|---|---|
| Nameserver 1 | ns1.nexcified.com |
| Nameserver 2 | ns2.nexcified.com |
- Remove any other nameservers and save.
Option 2: Point records only
Use this if you want to keep your DNS with another provider, such as Cloudflare.
| Type | Name | Value |
|---|---|---|
| A | @ | 209.126.1.122 |
| CNAME | www | yourdomain.com |
If you use our email, also add the MX and TXT records shown in Hosting › Domains in Nexcified Client.
What happens next
- Nexcified checks your domain automatically and emails you when it's connected.
- A free SSL certificate is issued once the domain points to us, usually within an hour.
- DNS changes usually take minutes but can take up to 24 hours worldwide.
Tip: Changing nameservers moves your email too. If your email is hosted somewhere else, tell us first so we can copy your records across and avoid any interruption.
